Supervised by Viviana Triana, LCSW-S, Lic. #52032

Bachelor of Social Work, Texas State University

Master of Social Work, Texas State University

Licensed Master Social Worker (License #63430)

Xavier’s focus during therapy is to nurture your process of growth by developing a safe and healthy environment for you. He believes that total involvement and support by your therapist should be available to all individuals, regardless of your financial situation, gender/sexual identity, or life experiences. Your growth and support is the primary factor in counseling.

After working for several years in Corporate America, Xavier realized that his abilities were suited more for the helping profession. He served survivors of sexual trauma and the Spanish-speaking community for five years in Waco, TX. During this time, he discovered his passion of working with individuals on a clinical level and returned to school. While studying for his master’s degree in Social Work, Xavier focused his education on clinical practice and how it directly relates to trauma, mental health, and personality development. His own life experiences have provided him with a wealth of knowledge about men’s issues, anxiety, depression, healthy relationships, feminism, and social justice.

While Xavier is trained in many therapeutic modalities, his vision and voice are influenced by his feminist perspective and a strive to nurture diversity and inclusivity. Xavier most frequently utilizes EMDR, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. He practices with the beliefs that your life is important, your experiences have influenced who you are today, and that you have the power to change your world.

Xavier practices out of the Round Rock & Waco offices. Xavier is able to provide sessions in either Spanish or English, and offers a variety of options for appointments. He is the co-founder of Get Out Of Your Head Therapy and its subsidiary, Get Out of Your Head Groups.

Jennifer has had much experience working with many diverse people throughout her life. As she worked in these capacities, she recognized that people were suffering beyond her ability to help. She desired to work with people on a deeper level which led her to counseling. Her previous experience working as a teacher in Nigeria and as an English editor in South Korea gave her knowledge of various languages, cultures, and religions. Through her volunteer work in St. Louis, MO, and surrounding areas, and working as a sports coach, she has also developed an understanding of various socioeconomic groups as well as various ages and stages of life. She recognizes the need to incorporate unique cultural values and experiences into the counseling process. She values being inclusive and creating a warm accepting environment for clients from all walks of life.

Also, through mindful consideration of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we can act in accordance with what is most important to us. In acting deliberately rather than reacting, our actions can be in line with our values. Through this understanding and deliberate action, we can heal and feel a full range of emotions as we relate to others and find meaning for ourselves.

During her time at Northwestern University and through her intensive practicum experiences, she gained knowledge of various theories, modalities, and interventions.
