Hello, I'm Amanda Frey, and I've been dedicated to working with trauma survivors in both inpatient and private practice settings since completing my EMDR Basic Training in 2016. As an EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT), I offer targeted, informed support to help mental health providers navigate through various aspects of EMDR, including but not limited to, target selection for both acute and complex trauma experiences, the basic phases of EMDR, implementing cognitive interweaves, and incorporating mood regulation strategies to help clients stay within their window of tolerance.

My true clinical passion lies in trauma work. I understand the courage it takes for clients to process difficult experiences, and I enjoy helping clinicians become deeply competent in this area. That’s why I pursued training as an EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT). I have personally witnessed the profound healing clients achieve using EMDR, and I want to help you build and strengthen your EMDR skills as you work toward certification.
My consultation incorporates a comprehensive, modern approach. I am trained in Level 1 Trauma Model Therapy (TMT) and integrate its foundational principles into my work, offering unique insight into dissociation and complex trauma that is often not addressed in basic EMDR training. Additionally, I am continually expanding my knowledge by integrating techniques associated with EMDR 2.0 so that EMDR sessions can be tailored to meet the unique needs of each client as well as optimize clinical outcomes.
