Supervision for LMFT Associates
The transition from a graduate student to a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate is a big shift. In Texas, the 3,000-hour journey to full licensure is about more than just checking boxes—it is about refining your "systemic lens." Our clinical supervision is designed to help you navigate the complexities of relational work, ensuring you develop the clinical rigor and ethical foundation necessary to become a confident, autonomous therapist.

What We Offer
As Board-Approved LMFT Supervisors (LMFT-S), we provide a structured developmental experience that honors the specific requirements of the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC):
Systemic Case Conceptualization: We help you apply various family systems theories—such as Bowenian, Structural, Prepare-Enrich, or Gottman-informed approaches—to understand the patterns and triangles within your caseload.
Relational Interventions: Practical guidance on managing high-conflict couples, navigating secrets in therapy, and maintaining neutrality when working with multi-person systems.
The "Self-of-the-Therapist": Deep exploration of your own family-of-origin work to ensure your personal history enhances, rather than hinders, your clinical presence.
Texas Ethical Compliance: A safe space to master the specific Texas MFT administrative code, focusing on confidentiality in family units, minor consent, and attending to all of the nuances within the family or couple system.
BHEC Application Management: We provide clear tracking of your indirect and direct hours (including the required relational hours) and assist with all necessary board paperwork for a seamless transition to full LMFT status.
The Benefits of Supervision with Us
Systemic Mastery: Move beyond "individual therapy with two people in the room" to truly understanding and intervening in the relational space.
Professional Sustainability: We focus on preventing compassion fatigue and "systemic burnout" by helping you set firm professional boundaries and sustainable self-care habits.
Advanced Trauma Insight: Gain a competitive edge by learning how to conceptualize family dysfunction through a trauma-informed lens, utilizing the Trauma Model Therapy framework.
Collaborative Mentorship: We offer a non-judgmental environment where you can safely process "professional mistakes" and celebrate clinical breakthroughs as you find your unique therapeutic voice.
