Master of Social Work, University of Southern California
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (License #65333)
I decided to go into social work and counseling because I wanted to help people learn how to become the best versions of themselves. I believe in meeting you where you're at, and have experience working with a variety of clients from different backgrounds. I am an advocate that you are the author of your own story, and as such, I value your lived experience.
I have experience and passion working with individuals who are adjusting to major life changes such as birth of a child, becoming an empty nester, job changes, changes in marital status, etc. I have experience with helping clients learn to cope and thrive with mood disorders including anxiety and bi-polar diagnoses. I also work with patients experiencing disordered eating as well as adults and teens with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Before going into private practice, I gained experience as a substance abuse counselor and a medical social worker.
I focus on a person-in-environment theory and believe that the mind and body are connected. I enjoy providing psycho-education on new discoveries and research in neurobiology, overall health, and how that makes an impact in how clients feel.
